Microsoft's acquisition of LinkedIn may potentially be a savvy move. Business wise, they serve similar age groups and provide expert level enterprise solutions. Microsoft finally gets a social presence that fits nicely into its philosophies. However, at $26.2 billion, it is by far Microsoft’s largest acquisition ever and Microsoft has never done well with large acquisitions as seen with Yammer, Skype and Nokia.
