Apple announced today that the company recently sold its billionth iPhone. Reaching one billion handsets sold is a tremendous accomplishment, even CEO Tim Cook made an appearance to celebrate the milestone. It took nearly 10 years for Apple to cross the one billion threshold since the release of the original iPhone in 2007. Rumors and leaks indicate that Apple's next phone will see an unveiling this September.
