It seems the lack of the headphone jack has proven to be a non-issue for US consumers, as the iPhone 7 was the top selling device of 2016's quarter three, despite not being available for the full three month period. While Android remains the most popular operating system in the US, the iPhone 7 is the best-selling smartphone with 10.6% of all new sales. The iPhone 7 Plus was the 4th best-selling at 5.3%, behind the iPhone 6s and Samsung Galaxy S7. All together, Apple ruled the United States sales charts in the third quarter of 2016.
