Lucid Motors founding members include former Tesla, Mazda and BMW employees. The company just unveiled its first car, a fully electric sedan aimed at the “executive” market. The Lucid Air will have some autonomous features, boast a combined 1,000 horsepower across its electric motors and could have a max 400-mile estimated range option. The company plans to build these electric vehicles starting in 2017 with a target market date of 2018. Early releases are expected to cost $100,000.
