An open casting call is currently asking for "100 of the world’s most talented app creators." It appears Apple is was working on a TV show about application developers. The show is cleverly named Planet of the Apps. It will be an unscripted reality show for developers to compete for funding, mentors and of course, free publicity. Think Shark Tank meets Silicon Valley. Contestants are required to have their applications in beta by October 21st so expect filming to start shortly after. Surely the show will be available on iTunes and AppleTV however, no word wether it will be available on cable networks or streaming services like Netflix.
