Field tests suggest the Verizon/Sprint iPhone 7 is a "little faster" than the AT&T/T-Mobile iPhone 7, but not as fast as it could be. In areas of weak reception, the Verizon iPhone 7 noticeably outperforms the AT&T model by maintaining a stronger connection and enabling faster low-signal transfer speeds. Researchers believe Apple may be throttling the Verizon iPhone 7 by not taking advantage of "a crucial component," to ensure all models of their phone perform at a similar level. Apple remains firm in its claim that all versions of the iPhone 7 meet its standards.
