The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued the official recall for the Galaxy Note 7. To check if your device has the faulty battery, you can go to Samsung's official Note 7 recall website. More importantly, any device purchased before 9/15/16 requires an exchanged asap. This tool will be especially helpful to verify the new batch of Note 7s or if purchasing it second-hand. Samsung is expected to have new phones in stores sometime after 9/21/16.
