Fortnite Mobile For Android May Need To Be Installed Through APK Instead Of Google Play Store

According to reports, the creators of Fortnite may be planning to bypass the Google Play Store and offer the game for download without it.
Hidden details were discovered on an Epic Games’ mobile web page with instructions how to install the game on your device through a browser outside of the Play Store.
It has been reported that Fortnite earns $2 million a day through Apple’s App Store, although Apple takes 30 percent due to its closed ecosystem. Because Android is open sourced, the creators may have decided to bypass giving Google their 30 percent of the sales by offering Fortnite outside of the Play Store. That’s potentially six hundred thousand dollars saved every day!

Its surprising that Epic hasn’t approached Google regarding a lower percentage in return for not bypassing the Play Store, although there is still time for such an agreement. Fornite for Androidis expected to be released late September following a 30 day exclusivity deal with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9.

Google Aware of Pixel 2 Camera Fatal Error

According to some Pixel 2 users, there is a problem causing apps to crash with a ‘Fatal Error’ message when attempting to access the rear camera, rendering it entirely inoperable.
While thankfully this is a rare issue, it seems to be affecting more and more Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL handsets since release day with user complaints gaining momentum.
Google has publicly acknowledged the problem and announced that a solution is finally in the works.
No indication on when the official fix will arrive, although some users have reported that their cameras functionality has return after toggling their phone;s Bluetooth on and off.

According to a leaked promotional ad, Samsung's next Note could be sold in a shade of purple or blue that includes a gold S Pen. Normally, Samsung makes Galaxy Note phones and their styluses the same color although, this leak could have provided an inside look at a two-tone finish that could bring a splash of excitement to what may be an otherwise predictable product iteration. Samsung is holding a launch even for the Galaxy Note 9 in New York City on August 9.

According to reports, ZTE has now signed a $400 million escrow agreement with the U.S. Commerce Department to lift a ban and once again conduct business in the United States. Due to the ZTE violating an agreement made last year, the company shut down most operations while it fought to lift the ban and paid over a billion dollars in fines plus replaced its entire senior leadership. If ZTE breaks the new agreement at any point during the next 10 years, the $400 million escrow automatically goes to the U.S. government, and the import ban goes back into effect.

Last year, Google purchased a chunk of HTC’s smartphone design talent for $1.1 billion. The deal transferred more than 2,000 employees to work on Google’s line of Pixel devices. Now it seems HTC is getting ready to lay off nearly 25% of its current workforce. After these cuts, HTC’s employee count will be less than 5,000 people worldwide. Five years ago, the company employed 19,000 people. Today, HTC is primarily focused on their VR product line. Are they done with smartphones? What do you guys think?
