Everything You Need To Know About The LG V30: Specs, Release Date and Price

After much speculation and rumors, LG took to the stage to officially announce the V30. This is the company’s follow-up to last year’s V20, although it appears to have received a much more polished design similar to the G6.
What’s new, you ask? Well, the first thing you are going to notice is the new metal and glass design. The bezels on the phone have been significantly reduced also. This allows LG to place a 6″ POLED display in a sleek looking phone without it feeling massive in the hand. LG seems to have thrown all the bells and whistles into the V30, just take a look at the specs.
LG V30 Specs:
  • Display – 6.0″ POLED QHD+ (2880×1440)
  • Processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
  • Storage – 64GB, SD card up to 2TB
  • Memory – 4GB of RAM
  • Cameras – Rear 16MP (f/1.6) & 13MP wide-angle lens, Front: 5MP
  • Battery – 3300mAh, Wireless Charging, Quick Charge 3.0
  • Durability – IP68 Dust and Water Resistance
  • Ports – USB Type-C, 3.5mm Headphone Jack
  • Other – Fingerprint Scanner, Quad Digital Analog Converter (DAC)
  • Colors – Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet
While LG did do away with the removable battery this time around, the company did hit a lot of the check boxes we are looking for in a flagship phone.
On top of that, the LG V30 will be the world’s first smartphone to support LTE on 600 MHz. Compatibility with 600MHz is a big deal because lower frequency bands travel further and penetrate buildings better. T-Mobile is also utilizing this new frequency to simultaneously lay a foundation for a true nationwide 5G network. This would put the LG V30 at the forefront of mobile technology in-terms of speed and reliability.
Release Date: The LG V30 is set to arrive first in South Korea on September 15. According to sources, this device is expected to start pre-orders on September 17 with a sale date of September 28.
Price:  LG has yet to confirm a price for the V30 in the US unfortunately, although in Europe it is set at €900. Converting this into US dollars would place it at $1069.96. If true, the LG V30 would be the most expensive smartphone in the market. However, considering that the Galaxy Note 7 is priced at $930 in the US, we expect LG to undercut Samsung and list the V30 at around $850.
So, what do you guys think of the V30? Will you be picking one up? Let us know, why or why not.

Google Reveals Android Oreo And Features With The Solar Eclipse’s Arrival

With the arrival of the solar eclipse, Google has revealed the final name and consumer launch details of Android 8.0. The next iteration of the mobile operating system will be called Android Oreo. The company traditionally uses the names of sweet treats for its major releases for Android, including Cupcake, KitKat, Nougat and now Oreo.
Here are some new features Android Oreo contains:
Notification Dots: See which app has anything new to show you. A long tap on the app’s icon now brings up a menu with the last notification, shortcuts and a link to the app’s widgets.
Autofill: Allows third-party password managers to work directly with apps and web forms without having to utilize bypass methods.
Instant Apps: Provides access to applications for limited interactivity without requiring a download.
Android Oreo also includes 69 new emoji. These new additions are focused on better representing people and gender, plus adding some new fun characters like the exploding head emoji.
Google has done away with its blob style faces in favor of a more traditional-looking set of emoji. The company says it wanted to help avoid miscommunication by making sure emoji are as consistent across platforms.
Android Oreo is rolling out to Google’s Pixel and Nexus 5X/6P devices soon, with other devices to follow shortly.

This is my ultimate desk setup tour for 2017. This is a portable and powerful setup featuring a laptop, an external GPU and 38″ ultra-wide monitor. The all white executive desk and chair are perfect for a clean minimalist, productivity or gaming setup.
Razer Blade 14 2017: This machine has enough power to handle almost anything you throw at it. it’s also remarkably thin and light so it’s easy for me to carry when I am away from the office. I like to Think of this as the much more powerful and better looking Mac Book Pro.
Razer Core with GTX 1080 ti: This enclosure looks great and gives my setup the best of both worlds; Powerful portability when I’m out-and-about plus awesome desktop performance while I’m at the office.
Acer XR382CQK: This 38″ IPS panel delivers crisp, accurate colors with a great refresh rate performance plus the curve screen makes you feel closer to the action than with a traditional flat panel. Ultrawide montiors are my ideal for productivity, media and occasional gaming.
Razer Turret: This compact keyboard and mouse combo with the matte black finish and green accents fit perfectly against the desk. You can use the turret keyboard with your smartphone, with a switch off a button.
Bestar Pro Linea Executive Desk and Pedestal: This desk is 71″ wide and 30 “deep which makes it a great work surface. The pedestal is not included but I felt it was necessary for additional functionality and storage.
Executive Office Chair: This chair has a high-back giving it a cool futuristic design that can add a lot of style to any setup.
