Well, Google Assistant is Google’s very own voice-controlled smart assistant. It’s designed to be personal and conversational while expanding on the company’s voice controls. Think of it Google’s version of Amazon Alexa or Apple’s Siri.
What Works with Google Home?
Due to it’s simplicity and availability, Assistant is the perfect entry point for a connected smart-home. With hundreds of smart home devices from a variety of popular brands, you can easily control things around your house with just your voice. Here’s a list of devices that are compatible with Google Home:
As you can see there are a wide variety brands adding their devices to the smart home market and that list is growing everyday. Honestly, a lot of these devices can also be used with Amazon’s Alexa and are just recently receiving support for Google Home. Sure Google is playing catch-up but considering Google Home costs less than the Amazon Echo, the Google Home is quickly becoming a more attractive option for a voice-controlled assistant.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 has been on the market for over two months now. I have been using the phablet as my daily driver since its release. To be honest, there is a lot to like here with a few things that bug me for me to say that it is the “perfect phone.”
However, those things are personal preference and despite them, the Galaxy Note 8 is a solid device that I continue to use. It certainly has it pros and cons. So before you watch the video review, here’s what you are getting into:

After the highly publicized troubles of the Note 7, the Galaxy Note 8 is definitely a comeback victory for Samsung. Combining 2017 flagship hardware standards with a stylus, resulting in a device that is sure to be in the top ranks for smartphone of the year. We could certainly do without the inclusion of Bixby, the location of the fingerprint scanner and the insane price tag, but hey, at least you’re getting what you pay for.
