Tesla has officially launched the Model Y at an event in Hawthorne, California. The Model Y’s design is based on Model 3 and meant to be a crossover/compact SUV version of the popular sedan. However, the taller and slightly wider size enables an optional third row for up to 7 seats. The long range versions of Model Y can travel up to 300 miles on a single charge while the high performance version can travel 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. These two versions are going to come first in Fall 2020 starting at $42,000. The standard range version can travel up to 230 miles on a single charge and will arrive in 2021 with a price tag of $39,000.
