How to Create the Microsoft Edition Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Without Root

Microsoft has confirmed that the company will no longer develop windows phones after they failed to make any significant impact on the smartphone market. The company is now focusing primarily on developing applications for alternative mobile operating systems. The company has also begun selling a “Microsoft Edition” of the popular Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 smartphones. Even Microsoft founder Bill Gates recently revealed he switched to a Samsung Galaxy with plenty of Microsoft apps.
You can have these Microsoft Edition Samsung phones whether you bought them from Microsoft directly or not. (It may be best to not purchase directly from Microsoft, considering it appears to be less expensive that way.)

Samsung Galaxy S8 Video Review Months Later After The Hype

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been on the market for 3 months now. I have been using  the smaller S8 as my daily driver since its release. To be honest, there are a tad too many little things that bug me for me to say that it is the “perfect phone.”
However, those things are personal preference and despite them, the Galaxy S8 is a solid device that I continue to use. It certainly has it pros and cons. So before you watch the video review, here’s what you are getting into:

Galaxy S8 Specs

    • 5.8″ Infinity Super AMOLED display
    • Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor
    • 4GB of RAM
    • 64GB of storage
    • microSD support up to 256GB
    • 12-megapixel F/1.7 camera with autofocus and optical image stabilization
    • 8-megapixel F/1.7 front camera with autofocus
    • Iris scanner
    • Fingerprint sensor
    • Heart rate sensor
    • IP68 water and dust proof certification
    • Bluetooth 5.0
    • USB Type-C
    • 3.5mm headphone jack
    • 3,000mAh battery with fast-charging and wireless charging
    • Android 7.0 Nougat
Overall, the S8 is a solid device and is a great evolution of Samsung’s S line. There are a few things that I would change including Bixby and the location of the fingerprint scanner but otherwise, I have enjoyed using it and will continue with it as my primary until another device dethrones it. If you haven’t done so already, I definitely recommend checking it out.  The Galaxy S8 is sure to be a front-runner for 2017 Smartphone of the Year.

2 Ways How To Make Your Samsung Galaxy S8 Faster [VIDEO]

It’s almost common knowledge that Samsung smartphones become slow over time. Even though the Galaxy S8 is much faster than its predecessors, many users are starting to experience lag which is likely a symptom of Samsung’s TouchWiz Skin. In this article, we are going to provide a couple of solutions that you can try in order to fix the TouchWiz lag on your Samsung Galaxy S8.
Step 1: Update Official Touchwiz Home
Fortunately, it seems Samsung has been aware of the user interface fluidity problems and has provided an update to fix some of the issues. Users will need to go into the Galaxy apps and locate Official Samsung TouchWiz Home to update. Afterwards, you may notice that animations have improved with the lag being not as noticeable as before.
If you feel as if this had little impact on your Galaxy S8, there is a second option available to you.

Step 2: Turn Off Animation Scale
A some-what more permanent solution to the problem could be to check and change the animations of your Galaxy S8. Samsung adds a lot of animation effects to their devices when opening apps or windows, they may be neat but they can affect the performance. Decreasing the settings can do wonders. To adjust these settings, you will need to locate Developer Options within your Galaxy S8.
  • Go into Settings
  • Scroll down to About Phone
  • Tap on Build Number seven times
  • Within Developer Options, Scroll down to Animation Scale
  • Turn off Window Animation Scale, Animator Duration Scale, and Transition Animation Scale.
  • You may need to restart your S8 to feel the changes.
Your phone should immediately feel faster because everything is opening with less animations.

How To Completely Disable, Deactivate, Remove or Turn Off Samsung Bixby Without Root [VIDEO]

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S8/S8+ with their very own virtual assistant called Bixby in addition to the Google Assistant. Although, most of Bixby's common functions such as weather insights, search results and making calls are all doable through Google. Because of this unnecessary redundancy, we have put together a quick guide to help you remove Samsung's Bixby.

How to Disable Bixby on Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

  1. Download BK Package Disabler (Samsung) from the Play Store. Yes, it costs $1.49.
  2. Launch app and slide over to the right for SYSTEM
  3. Apply check marks to all Bixby functions to disable. Full list below.
And that's all there is to it. From this moment on, Samsung's Bixby will be deactivated from your phone.
*Disclaimer* disabling system applications may cause some functions to not work properly. Disable at your own risk.

Random Restarts Added To The List Of Issues Plaguing The Galaxy S8

Several Galaxy S8 users have taken to forums to gain more information about their brand new handsets restarting for no apparent reason.
The issue is compounded by an overall system slowdown with excessive CPU load. The restarts even continue when using the phone in safe mode and after a complete restore. One user reported their new smartphone locking up to a black screen, with a hard reset being the only solution.
The problem seems to be affecting units on most US carriers and possibly other global carriers. Samsung has yet to provide a response on the matter, although it is hard to say if they are aware or not.
