The iPhone 8 is expected to feature an OLED display and Apple needs all the panels it can get. According to reports, Samsung has signed on to make 160 million OLED panels for Apple’s next-generation iPhone. Last year, the two companies agreed to 100 million panels but now Apple wants Samsung to provide 160 million units, although a timeframe for the delivery wasn't specified. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 8 on the usual yearly refresh cycle, in September. However after three years of the same design, the anticipation for this new phone is higher than ever before as its expected to be a major upgrade in both features and appearance.
